I have a Dawes Ace folding bike. The frame has

yes the unit is not fit for the purpose and is in fact dangerous to ride as the seat bolt failure could cause you to loose control items that you should be aware of that may affect your claim 1-- your mass ( folding bikes are designed with a mass limit for the user) 2 --speed limit 3--how you transport the unit At best you can ask for a refund of you money as there is no warranty limit on design faults and there is in consumer law , that there is an expectation that the unit will last well past the warranty period I suggest a talk with a lawyer as to the best way to get a result from the manufacturer

How to put a chain back on a dahon bike

It's really no different than other bikes, but extremely difficult to explain in words, let alone when you include no info as to whether the chain goes through a derailleur, which changes the procedure. It should not be difficult to find someone locally who is able to show you how to do such a basic procedure. Broken gear shift lever

Here's how to repair a broken shifter toe peg on a motorcycle. The shifter toe peg on my Buell Cyclone was broken off almost completely flush with the shift lever, and the factory used thread locker when they installed it, so the only way to get it out was with an easy out bolt extractor, which is a special drill bit. First I drill a good-sized hole in the middle of the shifter peg bolt, Thia is the most important step. I made sure the hole was in the center of the bolt so I didn't damage the threads on the gear shift lever. Then I put the easy out in the drill, set it to reverse, and it pulled the old broken bolt out. Then I cleaned out the threads in the shift lever and installed the new shifter toe peg using thread locker. Buell recommends using red Loctite. On my Harley Davidson FXR I installed a new shifter toe peg without using thread lock, and it unscrewed itself and fell of after a few weeks of riding. You definitely want to use some type of thread locker. There are no torque specs for putting the new motorcycle shifter toe peg on. Buell just says tighten it until snug. If you have ever crashed your motorcycle, than you've had to deal with this problem from the crash damage. I hope this video helps get you back on the road.

Hey there, I am new to cycling and want to purchase a new bike, that is low maintenance and long-distance ride.

Question edited to remove advertising. Question moved from Miscellaneous to Cycling. We are a North American Website and have no presence in India. Your best solutions would be to ask in Indian Cycling Forums. Gears need very little maintenance once adjusted and the stops set. After that it is just lubrication ..

Tomahawk E Series Exercise bike loud peddling sound

Standard WD40 is just a 'quick fix' as it isn't an actual oil unless the can is clearly labelled as "Bike All Condition Lubricant". It'll be best to buy a proper light oil like 3in1, 151 Super oil or an actual chain lube. This 'clickey' noise. Is it random and happening every so often or is it a constant, regular click that changes with the speed your pedalling at? Check for slack in the chain. as you wiggle the chain up and down there should only be about a centimetre of movement in the chain. If it's too slack or too tight it can make strange noises. Check the axle bolts and nuts to make sure they're not loose. Check the wheel is mounted straight. If it's turned left or right the chain will 'skip' as it's slightly missing the cog teeth on the wheel. Use the frame at the rear end of the wheel as reference and measure how far the side of the wheel is from the frame on both sides. It should be about the same both sides.
