Casio pcr-t290 even when turned to the off position it is still showing 0 s wont allow me to enter anything

This is a common issue. Try the following.
  • Power Cycle: Turn off the cash register and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on again.
  • Check the Mode Switch: Ensure that the mode switch is in the correct position. Sometimes, the register might get stuck if the mode switch is not properly set.
  • Reset the Register: You might need to perform a reset. This can often be done by pressing a combination of buttons or using a reset switch. Refer to the user manual for specific instructions on how to reset your model.
  • Battery Check: If your register has backup batteries, try replacing them. Sometimes, low battery power can cause the register to malfunction.

I cannot use my cash register it appear in the display that drawer open inhibit entry. What should I do

Old Question. Not sure if I understand. If the drawer won't open there is a catch underneath to open it manually. If the register is saying it can't enter data because the drawer is open when in fact it is closed, two things come to mind. The sensor on the catch is faulty, or someone has purposely damaged wiring to enable skimming.

I have a Royal 1000ML heavy duty cash register and it stopped working. I've powered off etc. Any suggestions please?

If your Royal 1000ML cash register isn't working, try a few things: make sure it's plugged into a working outlet, then power cycle by unplugging it for a few minutes. If it shows error codes, check the manual for guidance. Also, inspect the fuse for any issues. If these don't help, contacting Royal's customer support or a technician may be necessary.

How can I reset my NTS 3107N The alarm won't cancel?

Question moved from Miscellaneous category. All questions need full 'make model (what it is)' as first 3 words. This appears to be a cash register so I moved it. The master reset button is normally hidden under the Total, or Sub Total buttons. Carefully prise up the plastic cover and you should see a small recessed red button. Press and hold for 30 seconds. Please note that this also resets all saved data, X Readings, Z Readings, Cumulative Totals, and Saved Presets. Better to try disconnecting it from the mains supply overnight, and also look for simpler things that would cause the alarm, things like the journal roll running out, or jamming, or covers being open when they should be locked. This appears to be only sold in South Africa? My experience is with Casio and Sharp in the UK. ..

On the sharp ER-A320 cash register I cannot clear out the total at the end of the day using the Z button

This takes troubleshooting. Ensure You're in the Correct Mode: Make sure the cash register is in the "Z" mode. This is usually done by turning the key to the "Z" position. Check for Errors: Look for any error messages on the display. If there are any, refer to the manual to understand what they mean. Perform a Reset: Sometimes, a simple reset can solve the issue. Turn off the cash register, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Consult the Manual: The user manual often has specific instructions for clearing totals. If you don't have a physical copy, you might find a digital version online. Contact Casio Support: If none of the above steps work, it might be best to contact Sharp's customer support for further assistance.
