There is a DC to DC convertor that supplies the CD section of this machine, I would start looking there. Follow the service manual for guidance.

Figured it out. quite simple really.

1. Unscrew the 3 screws at the back that hold the plastic casing on (NOT the one that only go through the metal but the 3 that go through the plastic).

2. you can now slide the side plastic sections of the casing off.

3. underneath these side sections you will see that there is a small section of plastic on each side that can be pushed in which will then enable you to slide off the top part of the casing.

4. underneath the top plastic casing is further metal casing. unscrew the two screws toward the front that will then enable you to lift this inner metal casing off.

This is easy, hold down "mode" until the alarm time flashes, then press "mode" again, it will cycle through a menu, there is an "on" option to turn on the ipod at a certain time, you select "on" then press mode again, it will cycle to the next menu, set the time you want the ipod to turn on, press menu again, then you can select the "ipod off" time, I keep that option off as I want the ipod to stay on until I turn it off. Now you have set the ipod to turn on at whatever time you want. Turn off that terrible buzzer alarm. The confusing thing is the imini has to different alarm modes, not one alarm mode with two alarm sound options like most everything else.

I am assuming that you are after gold binding posts for a Mission speaker.

You could look on eBay for a used pair, and salvage the necessary part.

Also you can purchase aftermarket binding posts, which come in all shapes and sizes. Partsexpress.com is a great resource. Here is the specific link for their binding posts:

Look for shorted output transistors or possibly shorted rectifier diodes. An immediate fuse blowing up usually means that the power supply is the problem. Keep us posted.
