Usually, there were battery backups in the cartridges, not the console. If you can get the cartridges open (usually a tool can be found on eBay for a few dollars) you can replace the lithium battery inside. You might want to leave the game in with the console going first-some of the batteries would recharge that way, but it's unlikely-the battery is at the youngest 11 years old.

Go into the Wii settings and turn off the internet and then start the game. The only problem is that you can't play the game online. You will also need to update the Wii firmware, click on the link below to begin update:

Not having a Wii, I'll take a guess at what they want to do. For some reason, they're trying to make sure there's enough space in the NBA 2K10 folder for the data (I'm guessing). You can try to locate the folder, and see if deleting some saved games helps.
If that doesn't help, the game could be malfunctioning (since all the others work ok). Clean the disk, and you might try uninstalling and reinstalling the program, and see if that helps.
Other than that, the disk or download could be faulty.
Couldn't find any report of this problem on the net, so hope you get it fixed.
