I Am trying to program the sharper image jumbo sized universal tv remote.I can;t get the Samsung dvd/vcr combo to except any code listed in the instruction manual

If you purchased it before 2008, nobody. Sharper image went bankrupt and was bought by another co who does NOT warranty or repair older products. Below is excerpt from their site:

I've heard if the plates aren't working, it doesn't turn on.

Now for the disclaimer:

Sharper Image has recalled the units. Consumer Reports released a report on all ionizers and the quadra failed. Sharper Image tried to sue Consumer Reports over the findings but they couldn't prove that the unit cleaned the air. Sharper Image was ordered to pay all legal fees forcing the company into Chapter 11.

EPA data has proven that ionizers not only are ineffective at cleaning the air but they are harmful to use as well. EPA.gov has a report on it.

The Consumer Products Safety Commission is going to release a report on all ionizers. It's possible that they will no longer be for sale in the U.S. next year.

Sharper Image also recalled the ionizers for $35. Since there in bankruptcy now I don't think the program is no longer available.

Ionic Breeze is no longer being supported by Sharper Image. They did have a recall program on the product but I believe it has been discontinued.

The product was proven not to clean the air by Consumer Reports as well as EPA studies. Sharper Image tried to sue but lost.

Consumer Products Safety Commission is reviewing all ionizers and will make a decision by the end of the year. Due to health issues with using the machines themselves, these machines may disappear for good.

There isn't one. The reason why Sharper Image went out of business is because the Ionic Breeze was proven to be ineffective product and harmful to use in some cases based on Consumer Reports data as well as data from the EPA. They sued Consumer Reports, lost the case, and had to pay all the legal bills.

The Consumer Products Safety Commission is going to making decision on all ionizers by the end of the year. It's quite possible that no one will be selling them anymore.

This product should have been regulated a long time ago. Orek and few others are going to be pulling the plug on them real soon.

Sharper Image has recalled all Ionic Breeze Ionizers. This is what put Sharper Image into chapter 11.
