SOURCE: "FE" error code; won't stop filling

Hello Sheri Tucker,

The "FE" code is referring to a bad or malfunctioning water valve. The machine continues to fill because the solenoid on the valve inside the machine isn't closing to stop the water. The valve should be inspected and/or replaced if bad. This will require some dis-assembly, if washing machine repair isn't something your comfortable with then a service call is the best bet. If you are going to try and inspect yourself please make sure you unplug the machine before starting any dis-assembly. Hope this helps.

Thanks,

SOURCE: water leaking into tub when washer is not in use

I'm pretty sure your water valve needs to be replaced.
Changing a water valve is one of the easiest jobs in a washing machine.
Just follow your water hoses
Disconnect them
Remove water valve - make sure you know where the connectors go for hot/cold.
Remove your inlet hose inside the washer.
Put everything back the way it was.
Good Luck!

I am sure there is one to download but did not found anything with google...
If search engines are no help, just ask some deep web specialists, e.g. http://manualfox.com - this is a manual search agency and if they don´t find it, it does not exist in the Internet.

SOURCE: LG senseclean has water in tub, FE fault code on

The FE error code will appear for two reasons 1)overfilling of the unit 2)under filling (proper water level is not met within 8 minutes of fill time). This could be caused by a few different issues. Most commonly it would be a defective pressure switch which can be accessed by removing the top panel of the washer. There will be 3 torx screws on the back side of the washer that hold the top panel in place. Once removed you can push back on the top panel with your palms towards the back wall and it will slide back just a bit and then lift up out of place. If you remove the rubber hose connected to the pressure switch and blow into the switch you should hear a click. The way it registers water level is by an airpocket from the tub. You could also remove the other end of the hose from the tub and make sure that the line is completely clear and does not have any debris. If the FE error is being displayed only in the first few seconds then you may have a malfunctioning water valve. I would remove both of your lines connecting to the valve and make sure you have good water pressure going through each line and that your screens are not clogged on the hoses. Aslo inspect the screens on your inlet valve to make sure they dont look clogged. Lastly with the top panel off you could use and ohm meter to check continuity of your soleniods on the valve. Just remove the harness and check (if you have continuity it usually indicates the valve is good, however its possible for them to get gunked up and stick shut). Depending on your model it may have multiple solenoids on a single valve most LG's have 4 separate solenoids. Lastly If you find nothing wrong with the valve and try replacing the pressure switch then it would most likely be a central control unit failure, constantly energizing the inlet valve. Because of multiple possible causes for the same error codes these units can be tough to troubleshoot.

I hope this helps _MJ_
