That dot represent lit (stuck) red sub-pixel and if it only one that is not considerable as failure due to dead pixel warranty but you can try to solve this problem with software called screen fix. It possible that during exploitation that red dot dissapear.

i bought HP laptop 10days back, i am finding one red dot on the screen, normally it is not visible but if that part is park due to photo or video then we can see the red dot very much cleary, is it harmful ? is it increase with time
could you please suggest me possible solution or shall i contact to HPc ustomer care
