Cleaning the contacts is a myth. What you are doing is temporarily disrupting a short circuit near the slot in the touch panel. With time the short circuit returns. The cure is to add insulation. E-mail me at hutchipop@yahoo.com for the real solution. This posting made by Powerman
Powerman, I saw on other Google-sourced online finds that you continuously ask people to email you for the solution. As a fellow engineer to yourself, I recommend uploading the solution as a PDF document and sharing the link here and elsewhere. I thought we engineers created solutions that required LESS maintenance (such as emailing individual PDFs to 1000's of inquirers). Check your engineering experience and get back to me. I have had the same problem on mine, but I have 2 single ovens. We had the ribbons cleaned and that seemed to work for about 5 months, but now the problem is back. I notice it acts up more in the winter when it is a rainy day? We have to cut power for 2 minutes or so before we can use them. One is almost nonresponsive at all, and the other works intermitenly. Frustrated in CA

GE, F7 is a stuck or shorted keypad. You can unplug the keypad ribbon cable from the main board and try to clean the ends with an eraser. See if the code comes back. Catriver...post back.
