I emailed Fuji. My S9500 was 18 months out of warranty when the wheel ceased working, i bought it shortly after they hit the market.
They asked for serial number then sent me a packing set. Posted to them, returned to me within 5 days. Repaired by replacing top plate through which wheel works. NO CHARGE not even postage.
Great service and a great camera. All over Europe and over 9000 exposures.
I`ve just contacted Fuji spares department and they are sending me return packaging so that they can look at mine . I know that the command dial shaft is broken cos I`ve had it to pieces....... they stated that they will not supply me the part, but may repair it free of charge if it is a design fault !!! . They are not advertising it, but I believe that they are accepting fault on these S9500 s
This is a known fault on early 9500s, mine stopped working after about 6 months (bought in January 2006) and Fuji UK fixed it for free under warranty. I have seen many many reports of this fault. Suggest talking to Fuji.
Your sure it's not on auto setting ?Cause i think the command dail doesn't work in that setting. Hope this helps, Tom
If it is still under warranty- your are in luck A repair shop if you can one- will charge about the value of the camera. Bearing this in mind and if you have the nous and suitable fine tools- have a go at looking under the button- you may find slight adjustment to be made. You do this by removing the batteries and removing the fine screws that hold the top plate and /or back cover on. But don't hold your breath.

sent to photographic repair the command dial had sheared off. cost to repair approx 1/6 the price of camera. Thanks for comments.
Yes it shuold not operate in Auto but it also does not operate in manual mode.
The shaft was sheared off Camera repair shop has fixed it at approx 1/6 the cost of the camera
I have exactly the same problem!
It has worked fine until 2 days ago when it rotates but doesn't alter the exposure, aperture or shutter speed!
I got it from Argos, and it is 5 months out of warranty, I am going to ring Fuji on tuesday, maybe they will repair for free if it is a design fault?
I have only been using the command wheel since September when I started a photography course and learnt how to use it!
It cost £400, and I am still paying my parents back for it, so I can't afford dear repairs!
same problem: command dial out of order. I discover taht the warranty is only one year. I tried to contact Fuji buat they don't reply me. I will never buy a Fuji
Yeah i have had my camera for good 3-4years no dramas and it was working perfecly until thursday where i realised the dial had stopped working.
Does anyone know how to adjust if the setting is auto it just seems the same settings but yeah frustrating arr
