I bought a house and was not given the password or manual for my craftsman garage door keypad. Is there anyway to reprogram the password without the original password?
It depends on the type of operator and keyless you have. If they are are compatable, the battery is good in the keyless and there are no wires to the keyless:
1. Push (don't hold) the Smart button (on the back or right side of the operator looking from the back of the operator toward the garage door)
2. Within 40 seconds type in 4 digit code on keyless, push and hold enter 3 seconds
