Something is wrong with my player!

When i upload my player on to my computer and try to "Click" into the player itself to see what files are on it, it says can't read the player because of "I/Q error device" Other times my player tends to reset it self and my computer says this device hasnt been formatted. I click to format and find out that it went back to a default setting with an unknown capicity after already being formatted. When my player does decide to work i try to upload music to my device, it says that they have been transfered sucessfully. Then, when i unplug and try to listen to it, my player says that there aren't any songs on it!!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY PLAYER?!?!!?

Try updating the firmware, you can download it from the RCA Website (http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/).
If your computer doesn't recognize the player, you'll have to turn it off, remove the battery and keep "PLAY" pressed for 10 seconds while connecting it to the USB port, then update the firmware.
