I have Java 1.1.4. Java does not appear in my program list nor on my control panel. I can't update Java from any web site. I can't view Java or Sun Micro Systems web pages. They are blank. I have Windows XP on a Dell Desktop. I have read something about having to pull teeth to get a Java removall tool from Microsoft and that after it is removed I can then install a new vesion.. Your help is appreciated
FOR IE- Control panel- IE options- Advanced tab- Reset- Reset all- Trry againt the jave website to upgrade.
Best solution: Download firefox from the link below and update everything.. Use Firefox if you can as it is much better browser than IE.

Don't know how it ended up associated with the EUB.
Will post it again.
Firefox did not help either. Ended up having to format. It works fine now, but I stll have Java1.1.4. I'm wondering if I should remove the old Java and install the new.
