Turn the power off on the switch on the back, and then back on again. Hold down the power button, keep on holding it down after the first beep, but let go once another couple of beeps sound. It should then take at max a minute but then it should show a screen set up section.
I had the same problem. Turn the ps3 off, then hold the power button for 5-6 seconds. Wait until you hear the second beep. Your video settings should be reset. Hope it helped. :)
I mite no what ur problem is if u normaly play on a av channel without hdmi and u go and play with a hdmi cable wen u go back to play with ur av the cable it wont show anything because it is stuck on the hdmi and u haffto get a hdmi cable 2 see agen.
This is because your resolution is not matching. All you need is a reset.
1. Power down the PS3
2. Start again and hold the power button for 5-7 seconds.
It should work.
If you went from a hdtv or laptop that had a higher resolution than the current tv you are plugged into then all you need to do is reset the console.
Push down the power button and keep it down. The first time it will usually turn it off. If this happens push the power button down again after turning it on and then keep the button pushed. It will beep once, then it will beep twice and go to a menu with 5 or 6 options, you just want the first one, you don't want to redo everything on your ps3. Hope this helps
