I am trying to set up the Sharp AR-168D all-in- one copier as a scanner. It works as a printer so I know that it is communicating with the computer but it asks for an input code when I try to scan. It asks for input address....I have tried the ip address for the computer and the printer. Both of them throw the error code "Network Error CE-02".
I am not totally familiar with this model but here are some iseas or this to check. Since you say you are trying the IP address I assume you are connected via an ethernet cable and have the optional network kit installed and not connected by USB? There are two ways to scan on this system. you can run a twain scan from your pc (pull scan) or run the scan from the copier to the computer (push scan) - which one are you trying ? Do you have button manager installed ? this manages and creates scan destinations. Do you have the cd that came with the copier? It has a PDF manual on the CD that covers issues like this - setup/troubleshooting. Hope this might help a little!
