SOURCE: Computer wont boot after memory upgrade

when working on computers you have to be carefull to ground your self before touching the inside of them. when installing memory you dont need to unpluge everythinf just the main power cord on the back of it.the blinking green light means you have something no pluged in right, double check everything you unpluged make sure it back in the right areas.on memory the slots are mark 1,2,3,4
make sure if the memory is diffrent in speeds the lagger ons go first.the first to slots normally have to be the same speed and size ram.if that does not work let me know i can look into it for you.

SOURCE: MSI K9A2 CF motherboard powers up, but nothing happens

try to get into the bios and see if the function of the power switch assigned differently. there are MB that use the a hotkey in the keyboard to power-up the system. It should be there in bios. Read the MB's manual too. On OFF state, try typing "O" and "N" then hit enter

It sounds like your computer is getting too hot. If you have not already done it, you should get some compressed air from your local electronics store, shut down and unplug your computer, then open it up and blow it out thoroughly, especially the CPU fan and cooling fins, and the power supply. I have seen a lot of computers behave like yours because they were full of dust.
