Meaning of E02-01 the Error Code:

E02-01 means the Tray 1 cassette lifting motor unit fault. These machines use a lift motor encased in a plastic drive gear casing. Usually something inside the casing breaks, this usually happens in trays that have Ledger or Legal paper installed. The weight of the paper can cause these gear packs to break. Also if the customer loads letter paper in a tray set up for larger paper sizes.

How to fix the error:

Maybe a problem with tray 1 lift motor either you have a bad motor, Pull the paper tray out and see if the paper is lodged behind the tray, Also make sure the white coupling on the rear wall is in one piece. Check that the flag on the back of the tray is still present. Mostly it is broken and sometimes can be repaired, and otherwise, you have to change it, and to open the back cover and reach that (Part no is (DZTY000357 Paper Lift Motor Assembly, lift up drive).

Some of the possible causes:

• Remove the tray and check for paper behind the tray.
• Check paper falls back causing the gears to break.
• Check cassette Lift Motor connector.
• Replace the Tray 1 lift motor.
• Check the Mainboard.

Error Code E02 means paper jam.

Solution
1. Unplug the power cord and USB cable.
2. Lift the printer upside down, then shake the printer.
3. This is done, to remove foreign objects, which get into the roller.

You may have to do a MAC and reprogram the machine. You will need the program key. 1 turn the key to off 2 while holding down the journal feed button turn the key to program and wait 5 seconds 3you should see a line of 0's 4 enter 1215 and press subtotal this will bring the machine back to basic operation with out time and date as well as all totals reset.
The other thing is does the printer cycle? I don't remember if that is a printer error on that machine or the ce3700.

Error 2 means no clerk code entered. You need to log on to the machine with your clerk (PIN) number, then press the CLERK or CLK# button. Then it will let you make sales.
