In windows movie maker, you can do lots of things, like combine photos and sound, editing homevideos, and organize the movies you've edited..

I believe you have to pull the files from your computer into Movie Maker. Open Windows Movie Maker and use the import feature to get the video files.

Using Windows Movie Maker
Windows Movie Maker is pretty picky about file formats. You might want to use Pinnacle Studio. This way once you plug your computer in and turn it on Pinnacle will capture the video for you which is something that Movie Maker was never designed to do.
