First thing to do is check this hard drive on another known to be operational computer system, if it continues to show the red light and chirping, then you need to replace the enclosure with a known to be operational one, take your drive out of yours, install it in another case and retest. if it still chirps you a damaged hard drive. .. usually the case is the not at fault.
