E68 error

Question

I bought a brand new 360 today from walmart and when i started it up i got the e68 error. When i take the hard drive off it plays fine. my buddy put his hard drive on and it worked fine.

E68: Hard Drive Error

Sorry to say you got a bad hard drive. Call MS or take the system back to walmart for a new 1 because I dont think they will give you a new hard drive. Who knows they might, call and ask!
