many times there is a mounting in the center of the monitor back that accepts a standard 4 screw mounting, which almost any brand monitor will fit on, many of these type stands will adjust in height and also sometimes rotate to a portrait if you should like to read documents with the narrow side to the top.rotated 90 deg. some monitors do not have this option the mount is called (VESA mounting holes, 100mm (Behind attached base plate) but eBay is a great course for this type of part. I should have one of the Dell original mounts in my older parts area. but i see (Problem with Dell E197FP LCD Monitor) and (E173FPs) both in this unsolved problems, and knot knowing exactly the broken area, not sure of all you need to repair the broken area in question.
