After the installation of this BIOS this computer automatically while working SHUT DOWN AND AGAIN RESTART ITSELF. While on enquiry, it was told that this BIOS IS TO BE REPLACED, and a new BIOS is to be installed after downloading from Internet a BETA VERSION which is available. I have done downloading the Beta version to the DESK TOP. Now can you please tell how it is to be installed. Please tell me 1. The new version of Beta is to be installed first first keeping the old one in the computer to work. 2. Then after installation of the Beta Version. it is to be checked whether the Computer is working on not with the same after SHUT DOWN THE COMPUTER AND SWITCH ON AGAIN. 3. WHETHER THE FIRST VERSION OF 13TH DEC 2006 IS TO BE KEPT LIKE THAT IN THE COMPUTER OR IT IS TO BE DELETED. The file you downloaded should have provided instructions for its use wither in a redme file or on the page it was downloaded from. There are several different ways for flashing the BIOS. Many still require booting from a DOS disk and using a DOS-based flash utility to perform the update. Others are Windows executable files that can flash the BIOS directly without having to start a reduced-functionality environment, but they require Administrative access to the computer to perform the update.

If what you downloaded was a Zip file, there should be instructions included with it.

You also want to make sure that it the the correct BIOS you are flashing. If it is not the correct version, you risk permanent damage to your computer.
