My Kenmore Elite Upright Vacuum stopped working.

It might sound very easy , but lack of power is usually the cause of a vacuum cleaner that is not working . Check that the vacuum cleaner is plugged into a working power outlet and that fuses and breakers don't need resetting. An activated thermal cut-out due to a blockage is the next most likely cause of the problem.
Tripped Circuit Breaker/ Blown Fuse
Check service panel for tripped breakers/blown fuses. If breaker is tripped, reset it. If fuse is blown, replace it. If vacuum cleaner is plugged in, make sure that the power button is in the off position before having to reset the breaker/changing fuse.

Breaker keeps tripping

If you can unplug the central vac and plug it into a different outlet that you know is on a different breaker and test it out to see if it trips the breaker,or temporarily rewire the central vac to a different power supply.Make sure the breaker is the correct amperage for the central vac, last read the instructions to see if you need a dedicated circuit breaker, you might have to many accessories plugged into that outlet.

My series 90L suddenly stopped and would not restart. A check of the circuit breaker found it tripped. The vac would not turn on when the circuit breaker reset. Using an AC voltage sensor indicated power...

From the description it sounds as if there had to be a short in the unit somewhere. This is what would have tripped the breaker. the fact that it is not tripping could mean that there is a fusible link or that the wires or whatever have burned back from the short, and are no longer shorting out.

My e wave microwave appears to be in fine working order until the door is opened. It then trips the breaker and ceases working. Ater the house breaker is reset, the power is restored to the microwave...

You may have a short circuit on the INTERIOR LIGHT BULB circuit in your microwave.

This might explain why the breaker trips every time you open the door.

If so, you would have to unplug and disassemble the unit in order to access the wires and light bulb socket inside the case in order to troubleshoot and repair the problem.

If you are unfamiliar with safe electrical troubleshooting and repair procedures, please be extremely careful or consider hiring an electrician to do the work. There are some hazardous components inside which remain dangerous even after the unit is unplugged.

Good luck.
