You may have a belt and deck problem. Test by the following procedure:
without the power on stand on the walking belt, push the belt in the, direction it normally turns. If the belt is very difficult to turn (on most treadmill) this means that you have high belt/deck friction I first apply silicone lubricant and see if that clear up the problem. Most problems originate from the belt and deck 75 to 85% of the time.
On occasion, you may have already damaged the DC board if you have high belt/deck friction. If the belt walks freely, you have a different problem.

Error code: E2 Treadmill does not seem to run at the speed it displays or E2 may be display on console. ----->CHECK FOR DEFECTIVE LOWER CONTROL BOARD : Power off the unit, pull out cables M+ and M- (motor cables) from the Lower control board. Then place probes on the motor connects on the board as shown, make sure the multimeter is set to read DC output before restarting the treadmill. Then press quick start to start to unit and you should read 26-30V before the error code E1 appears on the treadmill console. If you get zero or very low reading, then ---->LOWER CONTROL BOARD REPLACEMENT: Restart the unit to eliminate the E2 error code, if E2 still exists, replace lower control

Mine did the same thing. I had to take the display apart and clean the contacts on the circuitboard that are underneath the buttons. After I put it back together it has worked perfectly. Mone came from a house where the people smoked and it was the nicotine and tar that was in the smoke that had seeped inside and cause it to stop functioning properly. Well I guess thats why they sold it to me. They likely were not using it anyway. Well I hope this helps

1)probably a faulty speed sensor
2) speed sensor is not plugged in properly.
3)possibly a faulty motor
4) Main control board or lower board.
The error codes will differ between makes and models but could be e1.

adjust the speed sensor:Move the motor to slacken the pulley, then lift the motor to get underneath. That is where the treadmills speed sensor will be located. It is usually a square or rectangular shaped green module with connectors at both ends.
Finally after you did the adjustment you can conclude:
A) Faulty Speed sensor B) Main Motor faulty C) Main Motor Controller faulty.
