Had it unplugged, as it wouldn't start after selecting the micro setting? Code F3 now shows?
F3 error code is for bad panel control and your panel control needs to be replace
SOURCE: Micro beeps 3 times with "F3" flashing on LCD screen. Nothing works.
If it's a GE model, F3 will mean a shorted key panel.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

F3 Key panel (touch pad) shorted This code will occur if a shorted key panel is detected continuously over 60 seconds. Replace key panel (also called touch pad).
An F3 code means that the touch pad has a short. The touch pad needs to be replaced. If you purchased the microwave new, get your receipt and the unit serial number and contact GE for the repair (1-800-GE-CARES). See http://repair.geappliances.com/ to find a repair center near you. There is a one-year parts and labor warranty on this part. You will need to get the unit to the GE Repair center at your own expense. (I'm assuming that the unit wasn't shorted by a lightning strike or other disaster.)
