I use the Pentax Optio W30 often and have much enjoyed the results. However a couple of months ago several vertical white lines appeared on the left side of the viewfinder. The camera was still usable. But now the viewfinder is completely obscured, and does not show images or 'mode selections,' so I have to leave it in 'auto pic' and guess at the picture I want to take. The resulting pictures are clear, but usually NOT the image I wanted. In short, the camera is essentially useless, except for general landscapes. What can be done to fix the problem? I have not yet contacted Pentax or anyone about the problem. Thanks, Ed in TN
A couple of days ago my Optio W30 started to display vertical white lines down the left hand side of the LCD view screen. Irritating, but not disastrous (yet), since only about 1 cm of the screen is affected. I have no idea how to fix this...
