Omg, I have the same problem as you guys. I JUST got my nokia 5300 last sunday, and then after school i took my phone out of my pocket and there was a crack! I thought it was just me but i guess not =/ I dont want to tell my parents because they bought my the phone and will say im irresponsible for having a crack on the screen already =/ everything works fine and all but with the huge crack on the screen, it just looks like I abuse my phone which I really dont =/

Look it is very point less to go out and by a new screen/phone i already owend 3 and fixed 2 the prob with these phones are that the face sheld is very thin you could by a new face shield but u will still have the same prob and i as well only had it in my pocket u can try and send it to nokia but they will make u pay more then what u have to its for labor and crap like that. but its very simple to fix just grab a razor or something strong thin and sterdy make sure power is off and been off 4 at lest 1hour pop off face cover there will be 4 micro screws unscrew re-move face shield then there's a lcd screen simply remove plug bam now that u did this put in ur new sreen and then the screws and repeat the steps backwards. its defective in many ways from screen cracks to speaker problems to flickers and restarting dont get me wrong i love this phone but its like taking care of a gold fish with one eye and no fins its not worth the time and money for that the fact is it will still crap out on you.... one eye gold fish? haha need better terms

The screen will usualy cost about 10 - 30 bucks depending on where you go....i have had many problems to im on my second...first one had software problems and this one sceen cracked and doesnt play the right speacker when i have head phones i regret this phone......and yes i was one of the people who though that thouse ppl where just haveing bad luck but this phone isnt worth it unless you have way to much time to spare and got it off discount with insurance

Shouldnt cost us any thing, i am on my 4th nokia 5300. the first one just plain died, screen stopped working, the next two lasted 2 weeks and 3 weeks respectivly before the screens cracked. I

I dont abuse my phones, i never dropped them in those times, just pulled phone out of pocket and the screens were cracked.

Filed a complaint with Nokia and also with T-mobile so at least i have some kind of history thast they can look at.
