1. Position the seats as needed to remove the console.

1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01 .

1. Remove the floor console storage bin.
   1. Remove the 3 screws and the armrest.
   1. Remove the floor console storage bin screw.
   1. Remove the pin-type retainer.
   • Disonnect the electrical connectors.

1. Remove the floor console front finish panel.
   • Pull upward from the front of the trim panel to release the retainers.
   • Disconnect the electrical connectors.

1. Remove the floor console center finish panel.

1. If necessary, remove the 2 screws and the floor console cup holder.

1. Remove the 2 floor console front screws.

1. Remove the 3 floor console rear screws.
   • To install, tighten to 4 Nm (35 lb-in).

1. NOTE: Lift the console from the rear and slide it rearward to release the rear seat heater ducts from the instrument panel. Remove the nut and the floor console.
   • Disconnect the electrical connector.
   • To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in ).

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Cork flooring is usually installed over concrete, wooden and tile flooring. The surface which you install your cork flooring on should be dry, level and clean.

Laminated floors are possible to install over virtually any type of floor you have although over carpets and especially high-pile carpets it is not advised.

Pre-glued laminated floors are easier to install than most other flooring, unless you're experienced and accustomed to working with your hands, you might want to leave this one to the professionals.

1. Remove the floor console front finish panel.
   1. If equipped, remove the manual transmission shift knob by turning counterclockwise.
   1. Remove the floor console front finish panel.

1. Remove the floor console rear finish panel.
   1. Apply the parking brake.
   1. Remove the floor console rear finish panel.

1. Remove the floor console finish panel.
   1. Apply the parking brake.
   1. Remove the floor console finish panel.

1. Remove the adjustment nut clip.

1. Turn the parking brake control adjustment nut so that the parking brake control stroke is three to five notches when pulled.

1. Confirm the parking brake is applied.

1. Install the adjustment nut clip.

1. Install the floor console rear finish panel.

1. Install the floor console rear finish panel.

1. Install the floor console front finish panel.
   • If equipped, install the manual transmission shifter knob by turning clockwise.
