Yes. You should ask for the free CD to upgrade and there is 2008B map on the CD, and you have to update both firmware and map.

Wait until the message goes away, It is updating your GPS. Turn off GPS and unplug. There should be a meesage on the Computer saying Done or something to that effect. Then do the above.

You can go to Sony's site and download a map upgrade. From what I saw it was a 100 dollar package and they were sold out.
