I received a KitchenAid coffee maker about 5 years ago as a gift. It started leaking during the brew process so I called the company and they replaced the coffee maching with a KCM534 model 2 years ago. I've used it almost every day for 2 years but it just stopped working. I'm getting the ERR2 message, which according to the manual, states that you should unplug it and try again. If that doesn't work, you are instructed to see a technician to fix the computer. It seams like a $130 coffee maker should last more than 2 years.
The ERR 2 code indicates there is a problem with the internal computer, specifically pertaining to the warming plate. I would advise you to call Kitchenaid Customer Service to see what options are available. They do not offer repair on the units, as it is not cost effective for the company or the consumer to have it repaired.
Their toll-free phone number is 1-800-541-6390.
