In most cases, yes. Sometimes the drive can be removed by pulling it back into the case's motherboard area, then the new drive installed and pushed forward to be flush with the front of the bezel, but not usually. It is usually easier, if the hardware allows it, to remove the front bezel, unplug the drive's connectors, loosen the mounting screws or other gizmos, and push the drive out through the front. Reverse the procedure to install the new one.
