Code F13 It displays 'F 13' when the VCR is in Stand by mode. What does it mean?

    Just wanted to add the that the VCR works fine otherwise with no problems. The F13 code disappears when it is turned on. The code appears only in the standby mode.

It's sounds like the vcr's tape mechinisum is malfunctioning to me. Try unpluging it for a while. It will correct itself. Or it might have
dew sensors if the room is too cold the vcr wont work until the dew it gone off the heads. If it don't have dew sensors
and plays the tape with dew on it might eat the tape.
also if a timer is overlaping or is set to come on right now it might do this.
