Stack Flue Sensor is mounted right into the exhaust flue pipe. Right at the 90° elbow. You will see the sensor screwed into the elbow, it also has two short wire leads with a crimp connectors. Pull wires apart, wires going to the board will be left alone, just deal right there at the stack. Unscrew old , screw in new, reconnect wires... No particular polarity requirement, so does not matter if wires are crossed.
Remove the side panels, now youre able to remove the wing nuts securing the top, now you can see all of the wires and components. Depending on the age of your heater, youll have a stack flu switch or stack flu sensor. To find the sensor, start at the exhaust vent and follow that black exhaust pipe till you get to the head of a bolt with 2 wires sticking out. Remove the wire connections, and unscrew old part, install the new sensor, you can not wire this up incorrectly, so its not important to mark the wires.
