It is a DirectX error. DirectX is needed to play games in Windows.
If it is happening in only 1 game it is most likely the game go to their website support page and see if they have a fix.
If it happening in all games get the latest DirectX package from Microsoft.com
try download latest directx from microsoft website..

did you install direct x in your computer? if not then download it and get it installed and then try reinstalling the program
