I downloaded the software online for my philips keychain digital camera model#P44417B it was downloaded successfully, but when i try to open the software it says driver open fail can someone assist me.

Regarding it not working once it's disconnected from the computer.... I called tech support and they said it's a bad battery/faulty charger since I had let it charge for 7 hours and did everything else suggested, so I took it back to the store, exchanged it for another one and it works fine. So if this is a problem, and you did everything else correct, it is probably a bad one, go try another and if a 2nd one doesn't work, I would forget it. I wouldn't have tried a 3rd time. I guess it's a common problem.

just try downloading the software again without the assistance of any accelerators or any as some times the checksum might go wrong when downloading
