My printer sp 232sf it has problem code error on sc542 since

Um.. I don't see an "online" or "escape" button anywhere on the printer...

"clear modes", 1, 0 , 7, then (hold) "clear/stop" for a few seconds until "sp mode" comes up. turn main power off/on (red switch).
If code comes back there is trouble with the fuser that needs to be repaired to clear code permanently.

this is an error for the fuser heat up..the temp is not being maintained or fluctuations. try this press the yellow clear button at top of number pad then enter 107 and hold down the red cancel button..the screen will change enter the copier sp and select 5.mode arrow down to 5-810 sc reset and execute.turn machine off.. if the code disappears it could have been just a glitch if not check the fuser to see if there is heat coming from it the lamps will come on at te start up. you can check this by putting a screw driver in the actuator slot to cheat the door switch if you see the lamp come on then you may just have to clean off the thermistors .. open the fuser up with the top screws and check that there isnt any build up of toner on thermistors..hope this helps good luck A

You may try first to reset the SC 542 before calling a technician!

That you can do by following method:

1.Turn the machine off and then after 5 second turn it on while pressing the “On Line” key and “Escape” key together until “SYSTEMver x.xx/1. Service” shows on the display.
2.Use the “Up/Down arrow” keys to scroll through the menu listing.
3. Press the (OK) key while on the display writes " 2. Engine " .
4.go to "[5810 001] - Fusing SC Reset" by scrolling the “Up/Down arrow” keys and press the [OK] key (on the display should write execute or done) press [OK] again if is needed to press it.
5. After this turn off and than after 5 second turn it on the machine.
Please do not change nothing else in this menu only reset the fusing unit SC code, because if you change some other values and settings you might to regret that and pay high price for that.
So only reset the Fuser SC code SC542 by the upper mentioned method and do nothing else, if the SC code appear again then do not try this again because you might burn some parts.
If this do not help than call the technician.

ves revisa el tesmistor, el fusible que esta al lado hizquierdo del tesrmistor o si no pruba la continuidad de la lampara fusora que puede estar abierta despues de esto entra al modo de servicio, engine, luego al punto 5.mode despues con las flechas de arriba abajo localiza sc reset le das enter, prendes y apagas y problema solucionado espero te allude esa fue mi solución y te cuento que esta trabajando la lampara fusora estaba abierta.
