Press the reset button: Using a small tool like a toothpick or paperclip, press and hold the reset button for a few seconds until the DVR resets. This will restore the DVR to its factory settings, including the default password

there are a few things you can do. reset the unit in main menu ie right click on mouse and click on main menu, in setting click on reset. it will go back to settings as new and should sort the problem out other is, is there a hazard triangle lit up on front of the unit. there should be power, hd and a cam sign showing no others showing. if the triangle is showing it could be a fault with a camera or the hard drive. also if you have 3 cameras working only it will show a triangle. let me know how you get on.

take the case off and remove the battery for half an hour then put back in, resets it all bar for recordings.
