hi sounds like theunit is faulty, you will need to have the unit repaired, or have the amp switched via the ignition this would be the cheapest option.

Problem will be either bad capacitors that are vented or puffed up on Top or you need to replace the main board the one you connect cable to Encompass Parts Distrbution might have it on stock

Hello my name is Israel. The problem is with the wiring connection. You will need to make sure that the yellow wire is connected to a positive 12 volt source at all times. What is happening is that the wire is connected to a switched 12 volt. Reconnect wire to a constant 12 volt source. Good Luck.
