I have the same problem. Just had the control panel repalced Friday because the oven would "magically" turn it self on for no reason. 5am I'm in bed and I hear beeping. Go downstairs to see my broiler on... Anyway. Had the control panel replaced. Seemed to work fine. 2 days later, we try to use the oven and we get "error 160". I called Bosch and they couldn't tell me what that means. This will be my third service visit in 3 weeks. Glad the unit is still under warranty, but I'm not looking forward to October when it's up.
Try unplugging or turning off the breaker for 30 mins then plug it back in and see if you still have the 160. I'm surprised that it doesn't have an F anywhere in the code. How old is the oven. Could some of the lights on the control be out. they are LED's and sometime they do burn out. I'm thinking this could be an F06 code which could mean anything from a power surge (clock) and needs to be reset (like I said by switching of the breakers or unplugging) to an EOC (Electronic Oven Control) failure. By switching off the oven and waiting about 30 mins. if it doesn't come back on it will be the EOC. make sure the LED (light emitting diodes) aren't out on the control making you

My Bosch has given us problems since we got it in May 07. Error code 122. Control panel replaced...same Error code 122. Weeks of problems with it unable to preheat, shutting itself off when I tried to use it (our ONLY oven, at Christmas this is all happening). We finally found someone who took pity and came out to try again to fix it...He discovered by taking off back panel that the heating coil had blown out! So he fixed it and I thought our problems were over....WRONG. Now it's past warranty, and we get Error 122 again, alarming all the time, and shuts off.
