My oven temperature control knobs (double oven) are loose and always have been--there is about a +-50 degree play in both oven control knobs. Some times if you have taken them off lately there are little metel clips inside the knobs that will stick to the knob shaft pull them off the shaft and stick them back in the knobs if the knobs arent cracked that should tighten them up
