Hi DMS1, your wacher might have gotten stuck with somthing. Maybe a piece of string or just dirt.
Have you already tried to open it and clean it?
Did you already read yoru manual?
Go here if you dont have one. http://products.geappliances.com/ApplPro...
It might also be the belt of the washing machine, try tu unplug it and check its back (maybe its inside) and see if the belt is not broken.
i was wondering if maybe something got stucked, and it prevented it from spinning.
It seem that is not the problem.
Can you locate the belt and see if it is working properly. (maybe its stuck, or broken)
DMS When did you start having this problem, did it spin & agitate in rinse mode, and did it stop form one day to another or did it start losing energy untill one day it didnt moved anymore in rinse mode?

Usually answered in minutes!
My problem is: Our 6-month old washer goes through the initial wash cycle but does not
spin the excess water out at the end of cycles. Many minutes before
the end, the Pause/Start button light starts flashing -> when
pushed, the washer starts water flowing into the drum for many minutes
but does not ever get to the spin cycle.
I opened the filter and got some coins out but nothing else was in there. I have gone through the manual several times.
Can you explain how a piece of string would keep it from spinning if the water is pumped out completely?
It spin just fine in the wash cycle, but doesn't go to spin nor agitate during the rinse cycle.
It basically stopped from one day to the next. It did not seem to lose energy from one day to the next.
I paid my $10 for the "Premium/Expert Service" and have received nothing more than generic advice on this site. I would strongly advise others to not waste their money here. In addition, my specific question about how to find "Error codes" did not get answered, and it appears that the respondent did not even seem to address my specific washer model. Shame on you for this lame service.
