Code E74 1 red light flashing and error message on screen right? It is the scaler chip, it happens because the scaler chip starts overheating. If you stop the heat build up on the chips then you should be fine.

You can send your Xbox 360 back in for repair or fix it yourself with a good Xbox 360 Repair guide

1 red light e 74 code
E74 is an error related to video. It's either:
  • Bad video cable
  • Bad graphic chipset issue
Try a different video cable, unplug and plug it back in to make sure the video cable is seated properly. If it's neither of these issues, the only thing to do is to contact Microsoft's customer service and get it replaced/fixed.

Sudden toner outage
yes, error 74 points to toner empty. open front door, press "options" then "start" then "1" and "0". once shows accepted, close front door. make note of this as it very well may happen again.

I'm guessing it just means the finisher thinks it's full, and wants you to take the copies / prints out.
