Im new at installing systems in cars but i recently tryed hooking my rockford fosgate t2 up in my car. I got my amp to come on and the blue indicator light to come on showing that its working but cnt get any output from the subs. I purchased the setup from a friend of mine that i no longer talk to so i cant ask him for advice but everything is wired and hooked directly to the enclosure box. The wires that are exposed are a thick maybe 4 gauge wire that is silver in color and then a smaller gauge blue wire both coming out from behind the amp where its attached to the box so i cnt see where they run to exactl.. The subwoofer wires are wired into the box and connecetd into the clips at the bottom of the box. Im thinking that the thicker wire is the power wire but dnt know wat the blue wire is??? it had electrical tape wrapped around the tip of it when i bought it could that be the ground??? Im confused because i thought one was just the amp wire and the other the power and connecetd them both into my battery terminal hookup but i didnt even get a single bump...wtf am i doing wrong??

Those 12's Need to be in a Ported Inclosure to release the Air that the Bass Produces. Use a 1 Inch Key Hole Bit and make 1 Hole at the Top Corner of Each Portion of the Box. Top Left and Top Right. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

Orion SX / GS / HCCA amp Wiring guide:
Orange = Right Positive
Black/ Orange = Right Negative
Yellow = Left Positive
Black/ Yellow = Left Negative
Blue = 1+1
Bridging of SX or HCCA Amps:
1. Use the Orange wire for Positive.
2 Use the Black/ Yellow wire for Negative
3. Push "in" the Mono Button
That amplifier is only 4ohm mono stable - so assuming the subs are dual 4 ohm voicecoils...
First wire both in Parallel Independently So each subwoofer is now a 2 ohm load. (combine + and + - and- on both subwoofers)
Now Take a positive on one voicecoil of sub #1 and attach to amplifier+(orange)
Take a - on that same subwoofer and attach it to a + on the OTHER subwoofer.
Finally, take a - from the second woofer to the amplifier -(black/yellow)
Now you have a 4 ohm load on your bridged channels.

It's a nightmare if you never have worked on any kind of car stereo. I've installed my share of after market stereos, so I know it's lots of brain work and patience.
The color of the speaker wires are the only wires that you can probably identify right off the bat. It's not too complicated to attempt yourself. If you have put in an after market stereo before. Your Lexus has factory installed rear deck speakers. Look at the bottom side of the rear deck. Pop your head in the trunk and look up.
On the right speaker there are 2 wires and on the left speakers there are 2 wires.
I think that all 1991 Lexus LS models came with factory installed rear deck speakers. The speaker wires are factory installed. You want to keep these original factory wires as is, but want some thicker higher wattage amp wires for your sub woofers, but write down the 2 left and 2 right speaker wire colors with the stripes, for example the red with yellow stripe, blue with red stripe, brown with orange stripe, black with white stripe and so on. There are four wires in all. Keep your wire colors on a piece of paper, because we come back to that later on.
You will need to run the thick red power cable to the car battery. That gets bolted directly down to the battery. You'll have to remove the bottom door jam that holds the carpet down. There might be a couple screws that you'll have to remove to pull up the jam. Tuck the red wire and lead wire in under the carpet and screw the jam back on when done. Do the same for the 4 thick higher amp speaker wires and route them to the back in the trunk.
Make sure to bolt the Black Ground Cable on the Chassis of the car for a good solid ground. The one thing that will cause a short is a loose ground wire or weak ground to the body.
Remove the radio from the dash. Be careful not to break the plastic around the radio. You should probably ask somebody for help, if you can not handle it yourself.
Now we need that piece of paper with the 2 left and 2 right wire colors with stripe laid out, you can do your
splicing of wires. Simply splice the left and right speaker wires with
the amp normal speaker wires that lead into the amp.
The amp may have stereo RCA jacks for input, I'm not sure which you have.
Make sure to match Left to Left and Right to Right. Now the AMP lead wire gets connected to the stereos power wire. This wire may be red or yellow, but I do not think it's gray. To test the wire splice into the yellow wire with the lead and start the car and turn it off. If the amp stays on with the car turned off, then change it to another wire. The goal is that it won't drain the battery with the car turned off.
There's some troubleshooting involve with factory installed stereos and making modifications. If you get this far you did a great job. You'll have it when the lead wire is connected and the car turns off and the amp turned off and when the car turns on and the amp turns on. Make sure you do not mess with the antenna wire. that turns on and then shuts off after the antenna is up.
