Hello, I have tried to connect my olympus c_315 zoom to my Dell inspiron 6400 home edition laptop, the camera is not recognised,it is classed as a unknown device in device manager, and error code 28, (i canot find a driver anywhere) plus on the camera screen, after i have pressed pc..., the screen says, one moment and just stays like that, it never moves on . " I am using windows xp " please help. PG. ps, the camera is connected to the computer via a usb cable.
In regards to my olympus c315zoom problem, i have discovered the c315 went out of production in july 2005! but, after i did a complete system restore and install all new software cds from Dell, the camera is now installed and doing what it should do! thanks to everyone who tried to help me. PG.
I suggest u google search your camera: Brand, model and type, and you will be directed to the factory site of where the camera is made. Probably they will give advices on how to update your usb driver!

To andrewscool, hi, thank you for your concern, yes i still have the cd that came with the camera , its nothing special, just a readme section and a installation section, are you going to ask me to reinstall? here is some more news, i got in touch with Olympus and they sent me instructions on reinstalling the driver, basicly , i had to find and insert ..c\windows\inf in the hardware update wizard, c being local disk ,... basicly they said, double click local disk C, double click windows, double click INF, the first two worked but inf did not so i am stuck yet again!
Do you still have the CD that the camera came with?
