Is this camera worth fixing with this error code? It will not load a cassette at all.
Can't install driver and app from sharp viewcam z vl-z400 disc
help please
Hi,
With the indulgence of C13295
E007 is not defined but previous dealings exhibits loading problems (which can be caused by dew or mechanical issues).
Four (4) things you can try:
1. Do a soft/col reset, remove the battery for a considerable time (hours);
2. Clean the loading/transport mechanism. Use a can of compressed air;
3. Tap, gently whack the unit or shake the cam side to side. (This is not a sound technical procedure but other owners have reported favorable result); and/or
4. Use a hair dryer set to lowest temp and do the tape tray/loading area. (Again, tis is not a sound technical procedure).
If none of the above would be corrective, perhaps your best bet would be to seek the services of a qualified camcorder technician/service center. It would also probably be worth your consideration of repair cost/downtime versus purchase of a new unit.
Hope that this be of additional help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need further information.
Good luck and kind regards.

Hey, i found some info on the error code. Error code E007 means there is moisture inside the Viewcam. Try taking the tape out, leaving the cassette compartment open for 2 hours to allow any condensation to evaporate. If it doesn't work, try taking it to bestbuy. They might be able to help.
You also want to try using a hairdryer to fix your problem
Thats alright Benimur, we are all just trying to help a customer fix his problem. There is no reason to aplogize.

I've tried this before and it provides no specific info regarding the error code.
They are closed now. I have a feeling all Sharp will say is send it in for repair. Its probably not worth the $100+ though. I can't find any info on the web for the error code.
