Hi, H4 is a heater error. Try resetting it by the following; Enter #, interupt, Clear, interupt, display goes dead, enter 14 then print. That will clear the error code, however if you have a problem with the heater it will return. It is probably the thermal fuse has tripped, which is resetable by removing the fuser unit

Regards

Andy

Push the 'clear' button and then the 'auto' button then the 'clear' button and then the 'auto' button again. This should be done as quickly as you can and the console will go blank.Next, select 14,which is the low temp clearing code, and then push 'start' and then turn the machine off and back on again.

The H4 stands for a problem in the heater circuit for the fusing unit, It could be a thermo fuse, thermostat, thermistor, bad heat lamp or worn fuser rollers. The H4 will not reset until either of these components is repaired or replaced. Hope this helps.
