If you have a tuner like the one in the picture of the PDF file, more likely you will need to resolder all the grounds around the tuner shielding.

You have a failed vertical output Ic. It will be a 7-9 pin Ic on the board shouldnt be hard to find to replace. If you give all of the info for your tv we can get you the part number

Thanks for your help regarding the following i posted yesterday:
My TV (an RCA 29" CRT) has stopped scanning and there is now a dazzling horizontal band of light across the entire width of the screen. Can it be fixed? In the good old days back in BT (Before Transistors) all that was required was to replace the vertical oscillator tube but I don't know which component to check in a newer set.
The set is an RCA Model #F27668, The chassis # is CTC203AA and the Serial # is 034621278. Oh yes, and I'm mechanically deprived.
