Broken TV My TV (an RCA 29" CRT) has stopped scanning and there is now a dazzling horizontal band of light across the entire width of the screen. Can it be fixed? In the good old days back in BT (Before Transistors) all that was required was to replace the vertical oscillator tube but I don't know which component to check in a newer set. Thanks, Doug

The set is an RCA Model #F27668, The chassis # is CTC203AA and the Serial # is 034621278. Oh yes, and I'm mechanically deprived.

Could you gives us abit more info, like the model and chassis number, that way we will be able to point you in the right direction.
