E 2 ?

The printer won't print and is blinking E 2 over and over, and the only troubleshooting tip in my manual is for a paper jam (E 3). Does anyone know what E 2 means?

I believe that E2 is "Out of paper". There could be something wrong with your paper sensor, because with this error, the printer will not even feed paper that exists in the tray.

Remove the paper, open the printer, and try cleaning the sensor pads. Use canned air, or a cotton swab damped with water.
