This is a known problem - there is no fix - if you call coby customer service they will tell you to try a dvd lens cleaner -this will not fix the problem. Best advise - throw it away.

Occasionally when I put in A dvd it will say wrong disc then after not using it for a whle I will put in a dvd and it will work?? What the heck??
Same problem. Every disc I put in reads "Wrong disc"
Is this a piece of junk or what?
