I have a GoVideo GV3060X VCR (yes, it's from 1994!) with "CLE" flashing on the display. The VCR will not do anything at all. Power was out at the house recently, suspect a voltage spike. What is "CLE" and how to reset VCR (if possible)?

the problem can be due to some other component on the power board. have u replaced the power board fully?

You could ring the FBT if you have the equipment... If not I would suspect that also. RCA p/n# 257805 which is NLA so you'll have to order a 257807 which is electronically identical to the 257805 with the exception of a plug connected to the screen wire. You simply cut this connector off and you have a 257805.

tape ejects all the time when inserted

unplug it from the computer and unplug it from the wall socket and hold the power button down for 60 seconds then replug it back in to the computer and plug the power back on then turn it on.
