Is it plugged in directly or with a USB extension cable? Some cheaper cables are not sufficient to charge it.
You could try resetting it.
1. Hold the power button for 10 seconds
2. If that doesn't work, use a small pin to press the secret reset button in the tiny hole in the bottom for 5 seconds, then try pressing the power to turn it on.
The reset hole is inside of the tripod mount on the bottom of the camera. Your existing videos will not be affected.

On my iMac, I am painstakingly continuing to push the red button on the front of the flip while my mino hd flip recharges. If the screen powers down on the flip it ceases to charge. Have to baby sit or it stops charging. Seems it must stay on and screen active to work.
Plug the flip into your computer when connected symbol pops up on screen hold down the red record button for 7 to 10 seconds and the charging symbol should pop. it should charge properly after that.
Did you find a solution? Mine is doing the same thing.
My husband called the tech support #. They told him to plug it into a Windows PC and let it charge for 30 minutes and try again. Sure enough, it works again. She did say to then let it charge for 12 hours on the windows PC.
We are using mainly Mac's, but evidently they don't always get the full charge through them. Hope this helps you.
